The Department of Economics & Statistics, Government of Kerala, on July 18, 2026, has notified the Consumer Price Index (Cost of Living Index) numbers for Agricultural Labourers and Industrial Workers for June 2026.
The following has been stated:
• The CPI figures are based on the 2011–12 = 100 series, with corresponding linked indices on the 1998–99 = 100 base using the approved linking factors.
• The indices are applicable for determining Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA) and other wage revisions under the Minimum Wages Act.
• Most centres recorded an increase in CPI during June 2026 compared to May 2026.
• Kasargod reported the highest CPI at 239 (Base: 2011–12 = 100), followed by Pathanamthitta (238) and Kottayam (235).
• The revised CPI numbers are effective for employees covered under the Minimum Wages Act in Kerala for June 2026.
